Please join us in congratulating Chris M, TSGi’s Q1 “Consultant of the Quarter” for 2020. Chris has provided outstanding work supporting our client in rebuilding multiple internal systems. Our client is an independent systems integration firm serving federal customers by providing scientific and technical support to agencies’ missions. Chris is using his PHP, JavaScript, and PostgreSQL development experience that the project is utilizing to build these systems.
Chris found his love for science when he attended a high school summer science program at the University of Florida, where he built his first spreadsheet to model floodplains in central Florida. From high school, Chris pursued a degree in statistics in college, and upon graduation, his first job was working for the Department of Transportation, creating datasets of complex queries.
Combining Chris’ love for science and technology, he developed a Textbook Management Point-of-Sale system and an E-Commerce site that would list inventory and price books based on competition to sell on Amazon Marketplace. Additionally, he developed a barcode system for inventory tracking, while setting up the VPN that would manage the network between the warehouse, retail, and the remote webserver.
Chris continued to develop his programming skills while building and maintaining multiple business intelligence and reporting tools for many US and international agencies. One of his projects used PHP development, where he gained the skills needed for his work with this client. Since joining the project, Chris has earned the respect and confidence of the Deputy Program Manager who said, “With regard to Chris, he has met and exceeded all my expectations. He has been extremely helpful and has integrated well with the team.” Additionally, Chris was recently awarded majority remote capability (before COVID-19) and a contract extension to support our client well beyond the original task order.
