Oracle Financials R12 Implementation with Hyperion Reporting Tool
Client: Public Sector Organization

One of TSGi's Prime Integrator Partners needed assistance in implementing an Oracle Financials R12 project for their client located in Washington, DC. The Oracle modules being implemented included iProcurement, Asset Management, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management and Warehouse/Inventory Management.

The Challenge

The client was looking to create greater efficiency by eliminating many paper-based processes and replace them with automated, electronic processes. They needed assistance finding knowledgeable Senior Oracle Financials professionals with hard-to-find R12 experience. TSGi was chosen due to our proven Oracle E-Business Suite experience and ability to deliver skilled and experienced local consultants.

The Solution

TSGi supported the project through the majority of the Software Development Lifecycle process including Functional Analysis, Technical Development, Hyperion Reporting, Testing and Training.

TSGi provided key functional experts who were responsible for analyzing the client requirements and configuring the financial modules in the Oracle R12 environment.

Senior Oracle Developers were needed to build a solution with the functionality and scalability that fulfilled the client's functional and technical requirements. They also developed MD70 for various conversion programs.

In support of the functional design and configuration settings, TSGi provided Hyperion Performance Scorecard professionals with specific understanding of Kaplan/Norton Balanced Scorecard framework. They worked with Hyperion EPMS 11.1.1.3 and Hyperion Workforce Planning module (EPM 11.x) and were responsible for the configuration of data forms, business rules, calculation scripts, data load rules, report scripts and financial reporting studio.

The TSGi team also provided software testing, quality assurance, quality control and software change management support. They developed and/or revised test scripts, scenarios and automated processes for assigned Oracle applications based on the business requirements and technical design documentation. The team would then report the test status, test results and other findings.

TSGi was also instrumental in developing the training program. The training team utilized the User Productivity Kit (UPK) from Oracle to capture the processes of the implementation. Using Oracle books, functional/technical specifications and requirements documents, thebusiness processes were explained to the user community in a classroom setting.

The Benefit

Due to TSGi's efforts and the work of the rest of the project team, the client has been able to implement business processes to improve the way they service customers.
