PeopleSoft 8.8 HCM Implementation
In support of the Department of Defense, TSGi helped implement a PeopleSoft HCM 8.8 project. The goal of this project was to create a fully integrated Human Resource Information System within the Department of Defense. TSGi provided functional and technical PeopleSoft experts with Federal experience with Top Secret clearances to support the full development lifecycle, including business process analysis, product configuration, extension development, testing and implementation. We also provided critical support in the areas of Enterprise Performance Management, Global Payroll, Time & Labor, Benefits Administration, Self Service (Member and Manager), ePerformance and ELM.
The project team was responsible for various aspects of the implementation including configuring HCM for the client, entering data into tables, executing business scenarios, and documenting policy and application issues. They also educated the initial analysis team members on PeopleSoft functionality and identified how the client’s personnel and pay business functions could be supported within PeopleSoft.
TSGi was also responsible for identifying issues related to the use of delivered PeopleSoft functionality and processes. They would recommend process and policy changes if those changes would help streamline the business process and help develop a common process that all could use.
The TSGi technical team was responsible for integrating Global Payroll with FCSM using Integration Broker and application messaging. The team extracted data from HCM and EPM for legacy systems, which involved re-writing several interface programs to implement set processing concepts in Application Engines and SQR programs. The technical team was also responsible for tuning various processes and interfaces programs, and was involved in providing support, and analyzing and resolving TIRs, which consisted of communicating with the users to gather the necessary information to resolve the TIRs. In addition, they modified PeopleCode, SQR, PeopleSoft Query, and Application Engine programs to resolve the TIRs. The team utilized the RightNow CRM tool for tracking and resolving issues.
The team also contributed in defining security roles and integrating Global Payroll and Commitment Control applications. We were also involved in developing and configuring system rules, employee extensions and promotions.
As a result of our efforts - multiple, cleared professionals were delivered to support the Department of Defense. TSGi provided PeopleSoft experts with multiple skill sets and deep experience. When the client needed assistance with PeopleSoft security, they pulled a TSGi Developer to assist with the task due to his extensive skill set.
