PeopleSoft 8.9 HCM Implementation

This project encompassed the maintenance and enhancement PeopleSoft HCM 8.9. At the start of the project, the project team implemented a new Payroll interface with the DFAS (Defense Finance and Accounting Service) to support the e-Payroll initiative.  In addition to the development and support of the interface, the team updated components within PeopleSoft to implement changes, which were impacted as a result of the new Payroll interface.

The project team also updated the standard reports to reflect the revised Payroll interface data.  In addition to system design, development and implementation, the team provided these Operation and Maintenance services: database administration, infrastructure support, report production and management, problem resolution and help desk and system customization.

TSGi helped successfully implement a new Payroll interface within the PeopleSoft system and continued to provide production support after the interface was placed into production. The team also significantly assisted with identifying and cleansing data that was causing anomalies in the new Payroll process.  Reports were also provided to the client’s staff that identified the erroneous data and then constructed programs to cleanse the data. We also developed and entered a major portion of the test data required to validate the new Payroll process.

As a result of our efforts.our client was able to implement an outbound and inbound payroll interface between the client’s PeopleSoft HCM system and the DFAS Payroll system.  This work was accomplished on time and within the budget established for the project.  Our team’s contribution helped our client win the highest award, a Federal Gold Star, for outstanding DFAS project performance.
