Consultant of the Quarter (Q1 2018)

Chris Young4Please join us in congratulating Chris Young for his outstanding contribution during the transition phase of the hosting contract for the largest volume Oracle E-Business Suite application project in the world.

Chris, who is part of the Production Support team, worked on the incident and change management sides of the transition project. Chris has been supporting this Federal project since 2002. Because of his strong understanding of the intricacies of the project, Chris was asked to play a key role during the transition of the hosting of the application from the incumbents to the one set up by our systems integration partner. On a day-to-day basis, he is responsible for managing the Program Activity Schedule (PAS) as it relates to activities pertaining to the instances/ changes, and for managing the expedited and monthly E-Business releases with the Change Management team. The PAS is a key part of one of the contract’s Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and therefore requires him to meet with the federal end-client on a weekly basis and report on these activities.

In addition, Chris was also responsible for setting up the instance of the ServiceNow application and importing all the data from the incumbent ServiceNow server during the transition phase. Even though his background has been in Oracle E-Business Suite, he took on the challenge of addressing this key project requirement. Chris quickly picked up the new tool/ technology and figured out how to configure ServiceNow and re-engineer some of the existing processes to meet the requirements outlined in the new contract. Once that was completed, Chris participated in the IT Service Management (ITSM) project to redesign the existing business processes to utilize ITIL methodology. He played a key role in the redesign of the Incident and Service Request processes, implemented the new Service Request module, and updated the Change Request module to replace the documentation and approval from ClearQuest for E-Business code fixes.

For his outstanding contribution on the project, his manager complimented him by saying “We had our first end-user outreach related to our ITSM roadmap and it went great! Thanks to Chris Young for preparing the deck. Well done! The bar has been set.”

Congratulations Chris on your outstanding contribution to the project and your continued loyalty and dedication to meet the client’s ever-evolving needs.

Chris is our first consultant to win the Consultant of the Quarter Award twice! The first time he won the Consultant of the Quarter award was in Q4 of 2011. Congratulations, Chris!
