Eric Galasso Wins Baltimore SmartCEO’S 2017 Executive Management Award

eric-galassoANNAPOLIS, MD, March 23, 2017 – The Baltimore SmartCEO announced Eric Galasso, President of The Squires Group, Inc. (TSGi), as the winner of the SmartCEO’s Executive Management Award in the President/ COO category. The 2017 EMA winners’ companies collectively generate more than $2.36 billion in annual revenue. The EMA Program recognizes the leadership and accomplishments of Baltimore’s Management All-Stars — the CFOs, CIOs/CTOs, COOs and other C-suite executives leading the region’s top companies. Winners are recognized for their creative management vision, leadership philosophy, innovative strategy and undeniable work ethic.

“Behind every great CEO is a team of smart, driven executives dedicated to ensuring a company’s growth and success. This year’s EMA winners are perfect examples of all-star executives. Not only do they inspire their own teams to achieve greater heights, they also believe deeply in their companies’ missions, are consummate community stewards, and are dedicated to excellence, always,” says Jaime Nespor-Zawmon, President of SmartCEO.

“I am so happy that Eric received this recognition. After an initial Management Consulting engagement, I invited Eric to join me as my Business Partner in 2004. We created revenue targets to allow Eric to earn in as my Partner over a 10 year period. Within two years, Eric had exceeded those revenue targets and our partnership was solidified,” says Nancy Squires, CEO of TSGi. “Eric is a combination of many qualities that create a very successful leader and person. Eric is a trusted, energetic and gifted coach. I attribute much of our success in the past 13 years to how Eric transformed the business from a local Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) niche firm to a regional IT consulting firm with expanded service offerings,” adds Nancy.

“Putting together the right team that shared my vision and principles has been instrumental in fueling the company’s growth. Hiring Apurva Shah as Director of Marketing and Operations and Jane Myers as Director of Resource Management were the two key hires I made early on after joining TSGi,” says Eric Galasso. “Together, we assembled a strong team to help fuel our future growth, created best practices so that we could consistently deliver satisfaction to our customers, and invested in tools, technology and training to improve our delivery model. I share this award with all of our great clients, consultants and team members as we continue to build on this foundation,” concludes Eric.

About the Executive Management Awards
The Executive Management Awards honor C-suite executives who have gone above and beyond to support and lead their organizations. SmartCEO recognizes executives — CFOs, CIOs/CTOs, COOs and other C-suite executives (CXOs) — who uphold the highest ethics, lead collaboratively and creatively, and enhance and support the organization’s mission. An independent committee of local business leaders reviews the Executive Management Awards nominations and chooses winners based on their display of ethics, leadership, collaboration, creativity, and dedication and support to their organizations’ missions. Executive Management Award winners are profiled in SmartCEO magazine and celebrated at a high-energy awards ceremony.
