Mike Conk was in a bind. He needed to add six PeopleSoft consultants to his project within 30 days to meet a payroll implementation deadline. He contacted The Squires Group and all six positions were filled within 30 days, two within one week. The project met the implementation deadline and the team received an award from the government.
Proposal Support Journey
About a year after working with The Squires Group, Mike decided to branch out on his own and start a consulting company. At that time, The Squires Group was searching for a part-time consultant to assist with a proposal response for a federal integrator. Mike was available and significantly assisted in delivering the proposal on-time and The Squires Group was awarded the contract.
Project Management and TSGi Employee Journey
Based on this success, the relationship between Mike and The Squires Group continued to expand. Initially it was assistance on additional proposal efforts. It then expanded to project management and functional business process tasks on a classified government contract. During this time, he also continued to support The Squires Group with proposals and internal business process improvement. Along the way, he transitioned from a consultant to a Squires Group employee and became Federal Program Manager for The Squires Group.
The Journey Continues
As a result, The Squires Group now has a senior staff member with a broad range of knowledge and expertise with government contracts, proposal development, and company operations. He continues to provide exceptional support to The Squires Group and our clients—a unique journey indeed!
