The Challenge
Our client was implementing Oracle Financials version 11.5.10. Modules being implemented included General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, and Budgeting. They were looking for an organization well versed in Oracle applications training as they required training documentation and organized training classes to be conducted across the United States.
The Solution
TSGi brought in a team of expert trainers to meet our client’s training requirements. We developed the Oracle Payables training and documentation for instructor-led classes. We also collaborated with functional leads to ensure that training documentation was accurate and adhered to current business processes.
All classes were team-taught by at least two instructors across an 8-week period. The team taught five classes training over 100 students. End users were trained in multiple US locations to use Oracle Payables.
The Success
The project significantly reduced the logistical complexity of coordinating and consolidating financial information throughout the Department. Moreover, the system provided the agency and the component agencies with a flexible and responsive reporting capability. Specifically, the system did the following:
- Reduced the resources and infrastructure needed to perform financial operations
- Reduced the number of information flows between the administrative and core financial systems
- Streamlined both internal and external financial reporting, and enable consolidated financial reporting
- Took advantage of advanced technical capabilities
