One of the fastest growing retailers on the East Coast recently deployed an ERP cloud-based Oracle Fusion solution. Our client wanted a state of the art solution to support its accounting and finance backbone to assist in their fast-paced organic growth and multiple acquisitions. This new system is responsible for back-office services, with Financials and Fixed Assets centered on the General Ledger. This is a single Organization, single currency implementation handling several thousand transactions a month.
The main challenge for this project is to meet the requirements of multi-dimensional reporting. The firm’s management challenged the team to produce the standard financial reports (Profit and Loss, Income Statement, Budget vs. Actual, etc.) in the most flexible way possible, and in a manner that offers consistency across the reports even when run at different times.
The Squires Group team delivered a solution to the challenge by implementing extracts out of Oracle Fusion into multi-dimensional database EssBase, with a focus on pre-defined General Ledger hierarchies. Once properly configured with EssBase Studio, the scheduled extracts provided the baseline data necessary for the various reports.
A Federal Civilian Agency’s business center was set up as a Federal Shared Services Provider. In September 2014, this Federal Agency was awarded a contract to on-board multiple Department of Homeland Security (DHS) agencies into their shared Oracle Applications Solution. The first three agencies are scheduled to be on-boarded in a staggered release, over the course of three years.
The main challenge of this project is to meet the client requirements with existing features of the standard Application to the largest extent possible, and avoid the path of “customizations” wherever practical. Avoiding a large scope of customization pays off over time as patches can be applied more readily, vendor support can be leveraged more effectively and upgrades will then be more technical in nature and therefore run more smoothly.

We delivered a proven team of Oracle experts to help develop Oracle’s highest volume transaction system in the world. This project team is comprised of both senior functional and technical resources with expertise in Oracle Federal Financials—all delivered locally from the Mid-Atlantic region which helped the client reduce travel costs associated with a large consulting team. At its peak, we had over 30 consultants that were participating in all aspects of the functional and technical solution.

Our senior resource team identified the right talent that had strong experience in Vulnerability Management and had the expertise to scan and remediate web applications and network systems for vulnerabilities prior to said applications and systems going into the production environment.
The objective of this project was to implement an automated end-to-end grants management solution to support a government agency and its consortium’s members through the implementation of Grant Management business processes and functions. Our team supported multiple aspects of the project, including the following key initiatives during the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process: Requirements gathering over all three phases of the project; document and code development; Post-production and support for phases I, II and IV after they went live; data conversion and validation; and Oracle Financials and legacy system integration.
As part of the transition to a SAAS model, our client was looking to add a strong Change Management and Training expert to roll out the full functionality and assist the user base to transition from PeopleSoft to Workday HCM. After the Workday functionality was configured, our client needed a Workday change management and training expert that would help them with the creation of instructional design (using UPerform) and would conduct computer based training in classroom training sessions. TSGi was able to rapidly deliver a local training expert who had over a decade of PeopleSoft HCM training experience particularly in the areas of training analysis, design, development and delivery services.
